Session 4: Emotional Intelligence
Emotional Intelligence, or EQ, is the ability to sense, understand, and effectively apply the power of emotions to facilitate higher levels of collaboration and productivity. Don't we all want more of this?! Extensive research shows that successful leaders and superior performers have well-developed emotional intelligence skills. A person's EQ is likely a better predictor of success than IQ. People with a high level of EQ are often chosen for advancement in their professions because they possess the ability to inspire people to action and to make others feel more confident. EQ and IQ function in tandem and are both important to personal development and success.
