BBB to Ring NYSE Bell to Celebrate Centennial
100 years of trust in the marketplace
Memphis, TN - July 27, 2012 – The Council of Better Business Bureaus will have the special privilege of ringing the New York Stock Exchange Closing Bell today, July 27, in recognition of the national Better Business Bureau Centennial.
This bell-ringing event celebrates 100 years of BBB efforts to advance trust in the marketplace, and honors the high standards upheld by BBB Accredited businesses and charities.
Carrie A. Hurt, President and CEO of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, will ring the bell. Hurt will be accompanied by Metro New York BBB President and CEO Claire Rosenzweig;and other BBB dignitaries.
